Most of his e-mail are list servers news groups (MRTG, Exchange, MQSeries & etc.) I was thinking of just creating a single PST file and dump all of his e-mail into and then zip them. His home e-mail account is a POP 3 with a 10Meg Byte limit. Would this work?

If it's that important to him he can forward it to his personal mail account himself. Otherwise I'd hand him a CD with the .PST on it and wish him well. We have, on occasion, created a custom recipient with the SMTP address of the departing employee and, for a limited time (maybe a few weeks) had it auto-forward all inbound mail for that person to their home address so that they could be sure they notified all of their friends/family/mailing lists that they have a new address. After a set period of time (3-5 weeks, usually) we kill that CR, though, so anybody they haven't notified by then is SOL. -Ben- Ben M.
