Like Mr. Scharff stated, I think it depends on the situation and what caused the corruption in the first place. But, in of itself, if I had to do a restore of my entire production boxen, I would be putting it back on the original server.

Can this be done? In my years of training, I was taught that you need to have another box identical to your production box in the case that you may have a database crash.
