Sounds like a bargain. I'm sure the law firm can somehow write it off or
pass it off on the client.

MCS charges 275/hr (last I checked, may have gone up since then)
for 225/hr you get the same expertise for fifty bucks less
you also don't get a herd of consultants all charging the same rate X the
number in the herd. I'm not sure I understand the relevance of used to work
for MS (eight years tenure as of last Nov); does having a big company name
make a consultant worth more? Or does it make it easier for the customer to
swallow the higher rates? I dunno; I'm new to consulting insofar as setting
rates and such. I'm far from new to Exchange (first installed it when it was
called Touchdown) and come to think of it I did a presentation on Disaster
Recovery (which includes what you're doing) at the MEC in Boston with Joseph
Pagano, the MCS guy who wrote the DR document and Laurion Burchall, the
chief architect of the JET database.

Far be it from me, though, to toot my own horn.

You said, "My question is how in the hell am I going to accomplish this?"
That doens't sound like "I know more or less what I'm doing I just need a
few pointers" now does it?

I dont' wish to get into a flame war, or a contest to see who can wet the
wall highest up. I'm a consultant with a ponytail, a Harley, an attitude and
the ability to make an Exchange server sit up and beg. But, no, I don't have
a big company name backing me.
