By the way, to replicate public folders you can use the Interorg replication utility between orgs, this combined with the ADC would give you Public folders, free and busy times and a single GAL but it would not fix email routing between the orgs!!!
I am using this approach to consolidate two orgs into one (e5.5 to a new e2k org in a different domain). This solution is only recommended by MS as a temporary measure for migration and not full coexistance. The routing of email between orgs is a bitch and involves setting up multiple smtp addresses per recipient and then configuring smtp connectors... Like everyone else has said DON'T GO THERE.
