Actually my session ends after a timeout after I send the MAIL
FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> command.
BUT I get this exact same behavior for another address (SUPERVALU.COM) that
I am getting 550's from. Only these 550's are being generated by my
Interscan SMTP box and not the Exchange Server's IMC as with
foodbrokers.co.uk.
With that one I can go to their SMTP server and get the 250 OK after
submitting the RCPT TO: info.

How did you know there was a PIX involved? I always see lots of messages on
the list regarding settings on the PIX interfering with mail. Is this a
two-way problem or only a hassle to the incoming mail server?
