Because using a NAS for Exchange is TOTALLY unsupported by Microsoft. It is also a wonderfully easy way to have your Exchange DB's eaten and puked all over the server room floor, thus causing really pissed off users to hound you for the next several hours/days as you try to rebuild the mess you caused but using a NAS box.
