uhhh... that Appendix pretty much describes installing a new Exchange 2000 server from scratch, under a different name.
I want to keep the same name and I don't want to configure it from scratch - AD is holding al of the configuration, I just want to dump it with /disasterrecovery Here is the scenario I had Server 1 and Server 2. Server 2 started freezing for no reason (other than being an HP server). I have moved all users' mailboxes to Server 1. Now Server 2 is ready to be replaced. Of course I can just un-install it and then reinstall from scratch and spend some quality time configuring it.
