I set the replication for Run Always and Urgent. I left it for almost 2 days and nothing replicated. In some locations it would show I was in sync, but in other locations it would show "local modified" and it would just stay that way. The public folders replicated to the new server but no messages came across at all in all that time. When you say replication takes some time you don't mean as much as 24 hours do you? These are small public folders with very little data in them. I think I will try the pst method and see if that works for me.
Thanks for your help. You didn't say what you had set for the replication schedule. You did schedule time (like Always) for replication, no? The free space message applies to the amount of free space within the database file, not space on the drive. It would figure that a brand-new store wouldn't have any free space in it since nothing has been deleted from it. This has absolutely nothing to do with the replication not occurring. I also confirmed these instructions in a number of other locations. The replicas get created but no messages get copied across and the size shows as zero. Also in my event viewer I see Event ID 1221 "The database "First Storage Group\Public Folder Store (EXCH01)" has 0 megabytes of free space after online defragmentation has terminated.". I have tons of space on the drive where this is located. Is it the info in this event that is preventing the messages from replicating? Thanks!
