Hmm, what if you save the message to your hard drive from Outlook? Is the
attachment there? and say not a small (text only) message?

Can you view source of the message body (assuming it's HTML)? If the
attachment landed outside the body tags <body> foo </body> it may not be
visible to the recipient. Had issues with a script placing disclaimers in
E2003 that failed to read body tags correctly.
