Look at the following powershell commands on the exchange DB server:

Mount-Database
Dismount-Database

They should provide all the control you need...

Subject: Script/cmd line to dismount/remount 2007 DB

Hi Folks,

Sorry if this has already been posted to the list before, but my searching is
failing me if it has.

We have an issue on one of our contracts with a database going offline
intermittently, we are unsure of the exact cause yet.

As a temporary measure to attempt to control it a bit better, the powers that
be are looking to set a scheduled task at 03:00 to dismount and re-mount
database.

Does anyone have a script/cmd line that they could share to do this?

I came accross this
http://forums.msexchange.org/m_200034500/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#200034516 but it's
for E2K3.

Or suggest the best way of implementing this until the issue is actually
resolved?

The server is running Exchange 2007.

TIA

Tony
