Look at the following powershell commands on the exchange DB server: Mount-Database Dismount-Database
They should provide all the control you need... We have an issue on one of our contracts with a database going offline intermittently, we are unsure of the exact cause yet. As a temporary measure to attempt to control it a bit better, the powers that be are looking to set a scheduled task at 03:00 to dismount and re-mount database. Does anyone have a script/cmd line that they could share to do this? I came accross this http://forums.msexchange.org/m_200034500/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#200034516 but it's for E2K3. Or suggest the best way of implementing this until the issue is actually resolved? The server is running Exchange 2007.
