In looking at the help for the cmdlet, I suppose it does say that... However, I've never had any trouble dismounting a database that has active users in it with the dismount-database cmdlet. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen little errors in documentation. :) Though maybe someone smarter than me can give a better explanation.
If you're saving a script to do it, you need to make sure you also include the -confirm:$false switch the dismount-database command line.. Otherwise the script will pause waiting for someone to confirm the dismount action. Or have I misread it? I also don't have an environment that I can test with. I'm new to e2k7 and powershell, after years of Lotus Notes & vbscript.
