FWIW when I first installed Exherbo I didn't take that command
literally. The introduction made it clear that the install guide was
merely an example not a recipe to be followed to the letter. So when I
saw that command I took it as simply a very terse way of saying "go into
/etc/paludis and edit the config files there to your liking". Of course
the first step in the guide is to read the paludis docs so I already
knew most of the files did not need to be modified for an initial install.
