Join one of the fitness clubs. I have recently joined "Enjoy", it's new,
not (yet) overcrowded, and they have a good 25-m pool. No medical certs,
no swimming hat, no sandals necessary.

Hi Clare

About running - best join a gym or you will die of pollution.

About tennis, I don't know.

About swimming: I've been swimming in Moscow for several years now. I
recommend the pool at the Olympisy complex at Prospect Mira.

Wherever you swim you are going to have to go through the hassle of
getting a "propusk" which is a medical pass to say you are not a health
hazard. Whoever you are working for should be able to help with that.

Then you will need sandals and a swimming hat, and it will probably take
a couple of attempts to find out when it is possible/best to swim. But
at least this pool is good:)

Best,

James

        thanks very much
