Geeks,

I am now sitting in Krimea and having fun for whatever you talk about. Good
thingies are that we are talking 'bout the English (Whatever it is, British
or Scottish or Americanish) community. Don't say more, don't be separatists
in the small world.

What you have to sound out is JARGON, that's the beat. If you are an
Internet geek, or a gadget geek your spoken English is Amerikanish. If you
go into Physics or Microelectronics we chose the only one which is said as
Europeanish and Londonish. No other way, all Samsung or Intel or Toshiba or
TSMC or Mumbay software designers and microelectronics people speak the
same way, no excuse.

Whatever goes on, please think of the JARGON you want to learn, not the
dialect. You will be in communications in the small world with the people of
the similar profession, not the spelling. If you want the spelling, listen
to Dire Straights or AC/DC or whom you like.

I have been the member of the USSR/Scottich Membership Society, btw, we HAVE
BEEN CELBRATING 23RD JANUARY! Do you understand?

Anyway, we have lots of wines here, cherry and muscato, and lots of
nrandies, and water is 25 and air is 27 and cloudish and we enjoy we can
speak the common language. But, Breats beat over... still same good jargon
we can accept here in between the European cultures.

Am I not provocative? ;)

Subject: Re: Expat List Russians' preoccupation with British English

There are differences. Great. Somebody wants one thing, somebody else
something different. Great, too. Whatever. Now get over it. And now, get
back to your books, work, learn you grammar, your spelling and even better,
some more languages. Maybe we can understand each other better and discuss
some more interesting topics, than the difference between American and
British English. Otherwise, I'll start an email spam about Luther's
influence on High German in connection with the increased usage of dialects
such as "Schwaebisch" and "Bayrisch" in German language Schools.

Seriously, as interesting as this conversation is, can somebody, please, put
the thread in the forum and stop flooding my inbox.

Thanks
Rica
