The workaround for me was to enter tab at the boot: prompt and type "linux 
/dev/hdc=cdrom" and the install went fine (otherwise it defaulted to a scsi or "other" 
cdrom, not ATAPI). The May 27 image installed fine for me one one machine, but I had 
this problem on another.
