[expert] latest on initscripts?

What's the latest on initscripts and the /sbin/update line?

I uncommented /sbin/update in /etc/inittab, and still had some problems
unmounting my filesystems at shutdown (but less frequent? I couldn't
reproduce the problems). Since I compiled a new kernel (from the 19mdk
kernel-source package, to build in ide scsi emulation), I've not had any
problems.

I notice the modified version of initscripts is not in the
Mandrake/updates/6.0/RPMS directory on the mirrors?

Any clues?
