Hi Dan, What kind of mouse are you using? Are you able to select a mouse prior to it hanging or is it not allowing you to select from the beginning? Do you have an external mouse attached to the laptop? If so what kind? If you have internal pointing device(s) you might try installing without an external mouse and then running 'setup' from a command prompt and then try installing you mouse. I'm running LM 6.0 on a Compaq Presario 1681 laptop with a Logitech 3 button mouse. The touch pad also works concurrently as well. Don't give up!
