I've got an internal touch pad which is disabled when you plug in an
external mouse. I have the same problem if I use the touchpad, or try my
logitech 3 button mouse (or try no mouse by turning it off in the BIOS). It
hangs when it probes for a mouse, so you don't even get as far as the next
menu when you get to pick a mouse to use - hence I can't get any further
with the installation and have to hit the power button.
I'm having this problem on a Mitac 5026 laptop, M6 installation from the
same cd went smoothly on a Compaq laptop with touchpad and external mouse.
Any the wiser?!
