I have kernel package 2.2.10-32mdk, initscripts 4.16-23mdk, and emacs
20.3-15mdk.

I still have the problem described: if I run the emacs-20.3 binary in
console mode (ie I type 'emacs -nw' in a konsole), then emacs will segfault
on exit. If emacs-nox package is not installed, then the same will happen if
I type 'emacs' from the command prompt before I start X. If I run the
emacs-nox binary, then there is no problem in console mode, but the
emacs-20.3 binary is *supposed* to support both modes.
