The Northwest Arctic Borough is a local government whose jurisdiction covers
39,000 square miles (101,000 square kilometers). It is the emergency
operating center for any Y2K problems that arise and as such needed reliable
platforms for its computers and communication gear. The result is that we
are extending linux from our workgroup server to all workstations. The
