Did you install from a CD? if so, boot from a DOS floppy
which has your cdrom drivers on it and then go to the
/dosutils directory and get the "rawrite.exe file and put
it on a floppy or your hard drive. Then, using the rawrite,
take two blank 1.44 floppies (assuming your system uses
standard 3.5" floppies) and create the boot and rescue
disks from their images in the /images directory on your cd.

If you didn't install from a CD, get someone to get you the
rawrite program, the "boot.img" and "rescue.img" files and
create the "boot" and "rescue" floppies.

Then, once you've gotten 'em, you can use them to log in,
and hopefully, repair your installation.

If all else fails, you can do an "upgrade" install and not
format anything or choose any packages and it SHOULD
(theoretically) fix your system for you. THIS time, you
should DEFINITELY make a boot disk. :-)
