[expert] Fetchmail

Hi!

I have a doubt here! I used fetchmail do grab my mail from my ISP POP3
mail server and it did grab them. But when I opened Pine to read the
messages it didn't show them. I looked at the /var/spool/mail/myusername
and the messages weren't there. Where did fetchmail put my messages? I
can'd find it anywhere...
Did I lost my downloaded messages? What am I doing wrong? 
My .fetchmailrc is like that:

poll mailserver 
protocol pop3
username myusername
password mypassword
forcecr

Sendmail is running on port 25. I use Mandrake Linux 6.0 (Venus).
Somebody here said that postfix is the new mail daemon. Is it that true?
