Fetchmail retrieves the mail and sends it to port 25. You say that
you have sendmail running on port 25.
Did you run fetchmail with the -a option or -k? Default is -a, I
believe (man fetchmail). The -k option would mark the messages as
seen on the server, but not flush/delete them.
Have you got sendmail set up with procmail? grep your sendmail.cf

This doesn't look quite right. I believe that you need something like
user "xxxxxxxx" there with password "xxxxxxxx" is mike here
(maybe not) and you might want to specify the MDA, with an entry such
as
and wants mda "/usr/bin/formail -ds procmail -m \
/home/mike/.procmailrc"
(But the procmail rpm with Venus and RedHat 6 is broken. The mail
won't be filtered according to ~/.procmailrc. It stays in
/var/spool/mail/[user]. A working procmail rpm is available on the net.
