Hi all

just installed a new Mandrake 6.1 after downloading and burning the
cd image. I then re-compiled a homemade kernel tuned to my config,
and so far everything seems to work well.
So, congrats for the good work.

I have a small suggestion (for later versions) which is rather
directed at installation by the complete newbie:
I find it rather irritating that the installation process
does not put the right keyboard reference in the skeleton XF86Config
that is built at install time.

I agree that it is not a big deal to fix, **if you know where to look**
So it was not a big deal for *me*, but it could be to the complete
newbie,
especially as having the wrong keyboard definition is a pain when
navigating directories ...

It should be a simple thing to implement right away the correct keyboard
in the skeleton XF86Config, since the install process *does* have
the information (this is one of the very first questions that is
asked by the install program).
