I am not able to get kdesu to work. I like the idea of the linuxconf
icon on my desktop, but as a non-root user haven't been able to use
it (I'm running Mandrake 6.1).
Even if I run kdesu -c from the command line, it just exits after it
takes the password. It does start up kdesud though, and it also
creates the command script in /tmp.
The closest I've gotten is that the script in /tmp is not created
executable (it's created -rw-------). When I run su -c "/tmp/<script>"
after making <script> executable by hand, it does start the
application correctly.
Am I missing something? Or is this a bug in kdesu or mandrake?
Thanks,
