I don't get it either. I did upgrade a few things, as I had installed
6.1pre (cassini) fresh before the final release, and later upgraded to
the final rpms. I just installed the final 6.1 on somebody else's
machine and kdesu worked fine, but on mine still no go. Not even after
removing and reinstalling all kde packages and after building kdesu
from source.
I'm at a loss at this point. I suppose I'll start looking at the kdesu
code when i have some time, see if I can figure out where it goes
wrong... any ideas would be appriated...

| Ummm I have installed 6.1 fresh and I have the same thing happen, have
