When I set up a Mandrake 6.0 system of a friends on his @home cable modem
all I needed to do was make sure that in the /sbin/ifup file I added the -h
HOSTNAME command to the call to pump. Note that HOSTNAME should be the
computer ID given to you buy @home. (Something like CI-XXXXXX or similar).
Make sure you have the latest pump rpm and dhcpcd rpm. The reason for the
dhcpcd rpm is that if doing the above doesn't work with your @home replace
the call to pump with dhcpcd in the /sbin/ifup file. You still need the -h
HOSTNAME option even if you use dhcpcd.
Originally my friends stock 6.0 system needed dhcpcd. When the newer pump
was released that also worked. Your mileage may very.
Good luck,
Mike
