That'll be allways a big issue. You can hardly compare a Linux operating system
with DOS/Windoze. And that will *allways* make it difficult for an 'average
home user', or you would need a distribution with only the minimum install,
closed and sealed.
Kind of 'Windows-install' Linux: no thinking, clicking and p(r)laying... ;-)
And still having difficulties, because Linux is multi-'whatever'. Which is too
much for an 'average user'. And please: I am not a Linux-guru !!

This is what *NOT* should happen with a distribution!!!
I remember one of my first installs, (Slackware), where you could choose for a
minimal install (even without X-windows !!)
IMHO: the best way for a distribution :
-First: 'That's your minimum'
-Afterwards: and now 'What do you want more?'

Maybe the 'Windows-install' version, I told you about ;-)
For a start I would like it very much to have a Linux install protected
(secured), rather than way-open...
Luckily I got some real experts, who pointed out that my server was wide-open
to the world.....
