Hi,
I'm running stock Mandrake 6.0 with kernel version 2.2.9-19.
Recently,
I upgraded to kernel version 2.2.13-7mdk using RPM. I have followed the
instructions about rerunning lilo and everything (almost) comes up OK.
When I tried to install vmware, I get the following message:

The directory of kernel headers (version 2.2.9-19mdk) does not match
your running kernel (version 2.2.13-7mdk). Consequently, even if the
compilation of the module was successful, the module would not load into
the running
kernel.

In my /usr/src dir., I have 2 dirs, called linux and linux-2.2.9. The
latter is obviously a backup created by the system of my old kernel.

Anybody has any idea what I have missed out? Where do I go from here to
continue installing vmware. I'll rather not go back to 2.2.9-19.
