[expert] are these supported? (under linux and vmware)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at a notebook (k6-III) which has:

ATI Rage LT Pro (AGP2x) and ESS M2EM PCI Sound 

Are these well supported under linux? I also want to set these up under
vmware... I assume if they work under linux then it'll be ok under vmware?
