Make sure you have a 100% IEEE printer cable that is (I think)
straight-through. Not all printer cables have all pins connected. I
think Ink-Jet printers need to have all the pins connected straight
through so that it can send signals BACK up the line to the computer.
Linux doesn't need that info, but Windows does!
Failing that, get an ethernet print-server that plugs directly onto
the printer and attaches to the ethernet hub directly instead of
going through the Linux box.
