If you're worried about the fitness of the drive, go to Western Dig's
site, download wddiag.exe, boot DOS and run it.  It will perform a rather
exhaustive check and report back via a numeric code the status of your
drive.  If it needs replacing, it will tell you.  Thank goodness that WD's
drives all carry a 3 year warranty.  Any further questions?  Check out
