Have setup Mandrake with the typical install option. I have cable excess
coming soon to my area and have read some post on security on cable providers.
I wasn't aware that while using cable excess you're on a open network. Now
most providers will claim they have security, yet I feel this is a hackers
dream space. Most of us have banking and credit info on our home computers so
having the computer on, it's connected to the cable network, as far I
understand it.

Now will the high security install method do any good in this area or
additional firewall software be needed to be secure on a cable connection?
