Ahh... I get it now. "$INTERFACE_CARD" will be replaced in
the string with eth0 (in my case because at work I'm on a
LAN and at home I'm on a lan-based ISDN router!) I just
tried it here at work and it worked w/o errors when I used
your string, replacing "-i $INTERFACE_CARD" with "-i eth0".
