Under KPPP, do you have the box checked: "autoconfigure
hostname from this IP"? If so, uncheck it. That MAY fix
your problem. Checking it will cause problems like
virtually freezing your desktop -- no apps will open, etc
because you've suddenly changed your machine name. NOT a
good idea!
