Thank's alot to Charles, Lars and Ronald J., Tomorrow I will try to do all of your ideas, but Ronald J, I did the tar command, and I only obtain one file. Charles, I don't understand very much how to avoid the rewind option. I can access to the devide with the mt command, moreover, I have to do it, because I found in one page that you have to put "mt setblck 0" (I have read that is a safe option) and after this I can read the device. I tried to move with the count value (with mt) but I didn't optain anything. Probably I didn't do it well, you have to think that is the first time that I try to do it without any manual. The tape with the docutech machine works fine, I try to do something not documented (that I know). Lars, why the 64 value? and how I know the long of the data? Tomorrow I will try the tell option.
