[expert] digital 433a & 7.1

Finally I have got to install Mandrake 7.1 on the Digital 433a workstation.
Some strange things happen though!

Power up to SRM console
>>boot dqa0 fl- i
goes to aboot
type l for list
>> pick one of the options BUT, put "b" before it and "text" at the end.

When mandrake installer initializes you can only chose automatic install all
other
options such as expert and customized crash.

many error pop up
perl: warning: Falling back to standard locale ("c")
also
shell=/bin/falseing locale failed

gets to post install and asks if ABOOT needs to be installed it crashes!!!

if i don't choose that it finishes install.

HOW DO I BOOT THE MACHINE???  is my next problem!
