I was just wondering if anyone has ever attempted to make a serial
connection to a device using a Linux machine. I have a Cabletron hub I
would like to configure using my linux box but am not sure how exactly to
get the connection or how to set a serial port up to receive properly. I
grabbed C-Kermit and minicom just to see if I could mange to get *some*
form of output from the hub using these communication utilities but managed
to get nothing. I have found a lot of information on setting a Linux
machine up to accept a terminal connection ...... but nothing *so far* on
how to set up a terminal connection from a Linux box to a device. If it
helps at all I need a VT200 terminal connection to this hub. Any
information is greatly appreciated,
