One alternative may be to use VMware, www.vmware.com, or to partition your
hd further, and install multiple distros on it. A safer second choice is
to buy a 2nd hd, and install a development Mandrake on there to play with,
so you don't screw up your main distro.

I like your dedication to try to help, even if you don't have the
