Thanks for letting me know how to stop the update-menu thing!
I can finally stop fearing RPMS!

My reasoning is the reason they don't have "right-click and edit a menu" &
"drag and drop menus" is because users shouldn't be editing the system menu.
I think KDE & Gnome should let users edit their personal menus easily(via
the above methods) and let the user know they don't have permissions to
right-click on the system menu items.
As for the last comment about KDE & Gnome sharing the same menu. I
had thought about that too...but I'm guessing most people put KDE apps in
their KDE menu and Gnome apps in their Gnome menu(like KNapster for
KDE and GNapster for Gnome). Maybe not....this 2 Desktops thing is tough
to deal with. Honestly, it seems that KDE & Gnome are become too similar.
Now both have that Macintosh menu at the top...both have themable widgets...
When KDE2 comes out I am going to suggest right-click & drag and drop to
the KDE people. We don't want to bother them right now. You say the menu
in KDE2 is better? Beta 4 just came out...I think I'll go give it a try now!
