I'm not doing any developing on my machine.  I do however quite regularly 
download and install files that are either in .tar.gz format or are .src.rpm 
and need to be rebuilt.  I alway use the developer install so I don't have to 
worry about libraries and such.  It would be a real shame to have to ask the 
installation process to install devel headers so I can rebuild a .src.rpm for 
my system.

On the other hand, I download every single cd that you offer for free so it's 
not like I won't be able to access those files.

If it ain't broke it must be working fine.
