What version of glibc from redhat are you looking at?  I'm not sure if
this will work (I've never tried it nor heard of anyone trying to get
glibc from redhat working under mandrake).  I don't think a straight
source compile would be too difficult, but you have to make sure you
apply the appropriate patches first.
