Did you, by chance, compile your own XFree86-4.0.1 src rpm or did you
install the binary? I have been absolutely, without equivocation,
UNABLE
to successfully compile the Mandrake Cooker XFree86-4.0.1 src rpm. It
gets practically finished with the build process (rpm --rebuild) only to
NOT produce any binary rpms. There are no error messages - just no
success with building the final rpms.

I COULD enter the build directory and do a "make install" and it would
install the successfully compiled XFree86 files - but I do belive that
it
would install EVERYTHING and it wouldn't be part of my rpm database.
