Hello,
i am still tring to set-up my little net with NIS. The first thing I am trying
is to make my server being able to bind itself.
-Created /etc/nis, copied and edited /etc/password, group, shadow, gshadow
into.
-set domainname to biologie.brizeux.fr, hostname to darwin
-edited /var:/yp/Makefile to set the srcdir and passwddir to /etc/nis
-run ypinit -m
-edited yp.conf to set to domain biologie.brizeuxfr server darwin
ypserv darwin (ping darwin is OK)
-reboot
But I keep going with "can't yp_bind. reason :domain is not bound" and
YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN is not bound.
I must have done a "small" mistake because I 've done the same at home and it
seems to work. (ypwhich is OK).
