Hello,

I am trying to install Mandrake 7.2 on an IBM 600x Thinkpad. The initial
install goes just fine, however the PCMCIA drivers are proprietary and I
don't believe Mandrake loads any generic drivers for them. Anyhow, problem
is that once the install is done and it boots for the first time, it hangs
before getting to X and freezes. I thought initially this was due to
Mandrake trying to start the network daemons but since it (possibly) could
not/did not load the drivers, then it was freezing up. Now I'm not sure. As
I said, the whole install runs just fine but after on the first boot up
attempt, it seems to do it's fsck and mount the file systems then hangs.

Anyone have any ideas?
