Postfix is ok...but Sendmail is much more robust and using an interface
like Webmin in Mandrake setting it up and configuring it is a
breeze. Actually, if you're installing it with rpm's there isn't any real
configuration to speak of.

A word of advice though. If you've got Postfix AND Sendmail on the same
system you will have to shut off completely POstfix before you will be
able to install Sendmail correctly. And I would also caution that if
you've been running Postfix and you want to begin using sendmail that you
re-install Sendmail after shutting off Postfix. The two will NOT happily
coexist on the same machine. They directly conflict with one another.

At the moment I'm using Sendmail to both send and recieve email on my
machine and I've got a dynamic IP address. I signed up with dyndns.org for
an account there, which is free, downloaded the ddclient, installed it and
now everytime I dialup and connect to my ISP ddclient contacts the DNS
host server, and assigns my current IP address to my domain name which
consists of the host name, or name of my machine (mdw1982) and the domain
name which is dyndns.org. It all works very, very nicely.
