Several months ago running combo of LM7.1/cooker
I too had a very nasty xlockmore experience.
Due to becoming over-ambitious with my settings a complete system-
wide lock up was the result . It was eventually traced to an xlockmore
prob through log files. I have since attempted to not have it
running on any of my machines EVER. Now this is my inexperience speaking
but since then That paticular problem has never happened again .
However I still encounter xscreensaver and X problems in general when
I become overly zealous with my settings with the little understanding
I might have.

xlockmore "Locked More" than I bargained for! :)

MY 2 cents
