OK, I keep trying to install 2.4.0 from Mandrake Update, but every time it
starts to install, I get a page long list that extends off the right hand
side of the page, so I dont know how it ends, but it all looks like:

file /usr/src/linux-2.4.0/net/rose/rose_out.c from install of
kernel-source-2.4.0-4mdk conflicts with file from package hackkernel

and then it runs off the page. But it's line after line after line of
stuff like that, and its all from the same dir,
/usr/src/linux-2.4.0/net/rose

_loopback.c
_out.c
_route.c
_subr.c

etc etc etc. Now, when I started looking at 2.4.0, I noticed there was a
dir in /usr/src called linux-2.4.0, but looking at its readme, it was a
2.3.xx. I was told I could delete it, so I did, and when I did, the
hackkernel thing changes colors when I'd ls /usr/src. Whats the deal with
that file? Is it important, or can it go; and if I delete it, will I then
be able to install 2.4.0 from MandrakeUpdate?
