Sure. Assuming you have an X display running where you're telnetting
*from* then set the DISPLAY environment variable to be that display.
e.g. if I am on foo.bar.org and my display is 0, then on sna.fu.org I
simply et DISPLAY to foo.bar.org:0
X-aware programs will then display on foo.bar.org
Running the desktop (if that is the significant word in you question)
is trickier; if you're running a WM on your home system's display
there will amost certainly be problems.
I'm not sure why you'd want to do this.
