Let say that right now is 12:00 M and it is Feb 26 2000
as root and using date you must do:
# date 022612002001
next we will transfer the time to the CMOS clock, so:
if your machine is UNIX only
# hwclock --utc --systohc
If your machine is dual boot
# hwclock --systohc
